Terms, privacy and the rules we follow.

Sandy answers from public rules. Home Affairs first. Then the pages we already link. Lookup uses xAI web search limited to government and official boards. Dates move. If a line here conflicts with homeaffairs.gov.au the Department wins. A MARA agent can lodge and advise on your file. We cannot. We can get you ready so that hour costs less.

Terms of use

  • bonroo is a software product for job search and general visa information. It is not a law firm, a registered migration agent, an employer or a government service.
  • You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you type and what you send to employers.
  • Use the product for a genuine job search. Do not scrape, resell or reverse-engineer other people’s files.
  • Job ads change. Confirm a listing is live before you call or apply. Phone numbers and emails in ads can be wrong.
  • Letters are drafts. You approve every send. There is no automatic apply on SEEK or LinkedIn.
  • Founding prices can change. Voice and text caps reset each calendar day. Paid plans are first-round until we say otherwise.
  • If a page here conflicts with Home Affairs, Fair Work, the ATO or another official source, the official source wins.
  • Third-party names (SEEK, LinkedIn, Google, IDP IELTS, xAI and others) are their trademarks. Opening those services means their terms apply.
  • We may suspend an account that harms other users, scrapes at scale or pretends to be a government service.
  • Australian Consumer Law still applies to any paid plan we sell to consumers in Australia. Nothing here is meant to exclude rights you cannot contract out of.

Privacy

  • We collect the email you use to sign in, the profile and pipeline you type, appointments you add and usage counts so the product can run.
  • We do not ask for tax file numbers, passport numbers or ImmiAccount passwords. Do not paste them into notes or Sandy.
  • Pipeline, contacts and notes sit in this app’s database for signed-in users. They are not a public listing.
  • If you connect Gmail or Drive those tools only run when you tap them. Mail is drafted, not auto-sent.
  • Grok (xAI) sees the prompts you send so it can draft letters and answer Sandy. xAI’s privacy policy applies to that processing.
  • Calendar files you download (.ics) stay on your device until you import them into Apple, Google or Outlook. We do not write to those calendars ourselves.
  • We do not sell your personal file. We do not run ads. We do not add marketing pixels today. If that changes this page will say so first.
  • Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988) guide how we handle personal information for people in Australia.
  • If you are in the EU/UK you can ask to access, correct or delete your account. Email the address on the Legal page. Lawful basis is the contract to provide the service and your consent for optional AI prompts.
  • You can close an account by asking us to delete it. Local browser copies may remain until you clear site data.

Cookies

  • A session cookie keeps you signed in. That is the cookie we set on purpose.
  • No advertising cookies. No third-party analytics we added.
  • Safari / Chrome may store Add to Home Screen data on the device. That is the browser.
  • Google and xAI set their own cookies if you sign into those services. Their policies apply there.
  • You can use the product after choosing “needed only”. Sign-in still requires the session cookie.

Local and international rules

  • Not immigration assistance

    Under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth), immigration assistance on a visa file is restricted. bonroo gives general public information. It does not lodge, represent or assess your personal case. Use a registered MARA agent or a lawyer for that.

  • Not legal or workplace advice

    Fair Work, awards, underpayment and leave are explained with links to official tools. That is not legal advice and not a union or Fair Work complaint lodged on your behalf.

  • Australian Consumer Law

    If you buy a paid plan as a consumer in Australia, ACL guarantees still apply. We do not promise a job, a nomination or a visa grant. Founding prices are introductory.

  • Privacy Act 1988 and APPs

    We handle personal information to run your account. We do not sell it. See Privacy on this page. Overseas processing: xAI may handle prompts you send to Grok.

  • GDPR / UK GDPR

    If those laws apply to you: we process account data to perform the service. AI prompts are optional. You can ask for access, correction or deletion. We do not use your file for automated decisions that grant or refuse a visa — we cannot.

  • Spam Act 2003

    We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for a reminder feature and we say so first. Employer outreach is mail you send yourself.

  • AI disclosure

    Sandy and letter drafts use xAI (Grok). Outputs can be wrong. You must check official sources and what you send. xAI terms and privacy apply to those calls.

  • International users

    The product is aimed at people looking for work in Australia. Visa rules are Australian. If you use bonroo from another country you still follow these terms and the laws that apply to you.

What this is not

  • This app is a planning tool. It is not legal advice. It is not a visa assessment. It is not a guarantee of a job, a nomination or a visa grant.
  • Sandy Freckles is an AI guide using public information. She is not a lawyer. She is not a registered migration agent (MARA).
  • Letters are drafted from what you put on Profile. You are responsible for what you send. We think the hunt goes further when the file matches what you can talk about in a room. That is your call.
  • SEEK, LinkedIn, Gmail, Drive, IDP IELTS and Grok are other people’s products. Opening them means their terms apply.
  • You approve every send. Gmail drafts sit unsent until you hit send. There is no automatic apply API on SEEK or LinkedIn.
  • Voice replies on Sandy are capped by your plan. Text is the default.
  • Calendar buttons build a file or a Google/Outlook link on your device. bonroo does not write into your Apple or Google account.

Other companies’ policies

When you open their sites or connect their tools, you are on their terms.
