  Pick an occupation and a city. Open Jobs. Tick three roles you would actually do. Send one letter the same day. Call one kitchen or office. Status goes to Sent. That is a week that moved.

  How interviews tend to run here

  Australian rooms are often shorter and less formal than you expect. They want to know you can do the shift. Asking about holidays in the first five minutes reads hungry. Ask about the team and the service. Save visa questions for when they ask, or for a second chat.

  A 482 is a nomination by an approved employer. bonroo flags sponsor language in ads. It cannot nominate you. Read the public Skills in Demand page. A MARA agent lodges. Do not resign until the timing is safe on the official rule.

  Tax file number

  Most workers need a TFN so tax is withheld correctly. Apply on the ATO site. bonroo never asks for your TFN. Put “applied” in your notes if you want a reminder, not the number.

  Awards cover hospitality, aged care, farm work and more. Visa holders have the same basic rights. Use the Fair Work pay calculator. If someone threatens your visa over a shift, that is a workplace issue and a visa issue — treat them as two files.

  Many visas list an English test and a score. IELTS is one option. Practice here. Book on IDP. Home Affairs lists the tests they accept — that list wins.

  Study if work takes longer

  A student visa is a different file. The provider must be on CRICOS. Work hour limits usually apply. Confirm the course on Study Australia before you pay anyone.

  Finding a registered agent

  Only a registered migration agent or a lawyer can give immigration assistance on your file. Search the OMARA register by name or city. bonroo does not recommend a firm. Bring your pipeline printout to the meeting.

  TIS National provides telephone interpreters for dealing with government. Fair Work also has help in other languages. You can still use bonroo in Filipino, Hindi, Vietnamese, Chinese or Nepali for labels.

  Kitchens and care roles often want a National Police Check. RSA is normal for venues. Keep scans in Drive if you connect it. We do not store identity documents on purpose.
